  • WHRE550K2WW agitator less washer

I'm not thrilled with this washer. It doesn't always rinse all soap out - even HE soaps, sometimes all the water isn't wrung out and today the washer has "eaten" my bathrobe sash. It is stuck under the not an agitator part where I put in fabric softener. GE has advice for people with models with an agitator- pull straight up and it will come off but they state on their website that this is not self repairable. Aside from the stuck sash and the fact that a relatively new machine is unusable, often the clothes - especially towels - have to be re washed to get them clean. More...

  • GE washing machine is a CLOTHES DESTROYER!!!!!!

I have owned a GE washing machine in the past, a profile and it was pretty good, lasted 15 years, finally the motor seal went out and sent grease spewing all over my clothes. We decided to buy another GE mostly because it was one of the only models left with an agitator and we refuse to buy a front loader, too much maintenance. So heres the deal, the designer who came up with the agitator needs to be fired! It has now destroyed two more articles of my wifes clothing!!!! Do not wash anything with strings or buttons in this washing machine, it will 100% grab the strings or buttons and TEAR... More...

  • GE Hydrowave Horrible Mistake

I Love laundry. I love doing laundry and when my washer was ruined by a storm, I had to find another. I did not want an HE!! After researching I found the GE Hydrowave...It wasn't advertised as HE, no where on that stupid piece of junk does it say HE. I did mention in the tiny booklet to use HE detergent, I thought I was going to have a panic attack that day. Never from day 1 did that washer fill, it ripped clothes, and its so loud our neighbors know when im doing laundry. I hate this washer so much I would bash it with a sledge hammer if I could. Never EVER again will I buy a GE... More...

  • GE hydrowave piece of works for less than 3 days after being repaired

We bought this garbage can from Mother Lode Appliance in Sutter Creek, California. It broke in 3 months. It had a loose nut on the basket. It lasted about 3 more months, and the same thing happened so bad that the washer bashed our dryer and sink basin up. This time it destroyed it's own interior parts, and had to be rebuilt from the ground up, including a new motor. The motor was because that's what the factory "service ALERT" says to do when the machine is destroying clothes. It destroyed over $150 of towels, and clothes we had JUST gotten as gifts form in laws. (We... More...

  • GE Hydrowave Washer

We bought this washer about 2 years ago. Right away I was unhappy with the water level. Even in the mode that overrides the automatic sensor, the most water it puts in could not be called "full" at all. But the worst thing is that the tub itself has apparently come loose somehow and has made the machine almost unusable. It bangs around so hard and so loud on the spin cycle that it seems like it is going to knock the washer into the other room or something. It is just awful. It is definitely horribly out of whack. But not knowing how much it would cost to fix it, we think we... More...

  • GE refrigerator repair

My 6 year old GE Profile refrigerator (model PFS22SISBSS) broke 2 weeks ago. Evidently, the compressor died. GE, in their infinite wisdom, doesn't have any in stock. I'm currently waiting for them to actually make a new compressor (at least 80 on back order). I am insulin dependant (diabetes type 1) and had to get all new insulin, as my remaining supply went bad. GE cannot guarantee a new part by the end of June (which would be 5 weeks from the problems inception). I am moving out of my home on June 30. So i do not want the 20% discount they offered on buying a new... More...

  • Hydrowave Washer

I bought my first ever brand new washer and dryer in April,2013.I wanted a trusted American name so I chose GE. It worked fine until July 2013. Then it would fill, wash and drain and NOTHING. I searched troubleshooting and found my answer on GE's own website. Should have been a clue. I needed to (reset) it. Followed the instructions and it worked. The next week the same problem and many times after that. I reported it to the GE website on August 27th and they promptly scheduled a repairman to come. Great I THOUGHT. He came out on September 3rd and ran the (self diagnosis) great for... More...

  • GE Hydrowave Washing Machine ghwn4250dww model

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. Bought this machine at Home Depot 1 month ago and regret it every day I have to do my laundry. Even though touted as heavy duty large capacity, can only do small loads as it does not get clothes clean or even completely wet in some areas! Washed two sheets of bedding and line-dried, noticed a whitish film all over sheets. Read instructions and tried many different things but keep getting same results! Have been a loyal GE customer - all my other GE appliances are great, but am sorely disappointed in this purchase and would like nothing better than to just get a regular washing machine... More...

  • Lousy product and poor customer service

I have been a GE consumer for many years. 2 months ago I replaced a GE washer that was 12 years old with a new model. This machine SUCKS and does not even rinse the clothes properly. It will spin the clothes to one side of drum and throw machine out of balance. GE says they do not have any kind of customer satisfaction guarantee and they would be happy to sell me an upgraded model. No wonder more and more people are not buying American. I find it almost humorous that their phone # on the lid is 1-800-GE CARES Will never buy a GE product again !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! More...

  • Washing Machine

This review has been resolved or replied to by this company. GE Washer GTDX100GMWW does not clean clothes. Even though the rinse setting was cold, clothes kept coming out warm. I finally opened the machine after the rinse water "filled". There was only about 2 inches of water in the bottom, thus the majority of clothes were not getting the dirty water rinsed out of them. GE said this is the way the machine was designed so it was energy efficient. It appears getting the energy efficiency rating is more important than designing a machine that cleans clothes. I returned it to Home Depot. More...
